50 schools participated in the ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ program and 47 of them performed last night. PCS received the following recognitions:
RECOGNITIONS OF EXCELLENCE

Awarded for Excellence in supporting roles not evaluated by SOT Evaluators
• Oliver Gentile as ‘James’
• Zoe Withey as ‘Matilda’
• Addison Buckley as ‘Mrs. Gloop’
ACHIEVEMENT OF PERFORMANCE IN A LEADING ROLE
• Gio Muolo as “Willy Wonka”
• Lily Wolcott as “Charlie Bucket”
‘FUTURE STARS’ RECOGNITION:
• Augustus Badger- As an 8th grader, Gus is quiet and reserved in the halls of the school. This is why it might have been a surprise to see him shine bright in his role as “angsty teen” Mike Teavee. Gus embraces every role he’s casted in an sets an incredible example for all of his peers
• Samantha Aaron- It isn’t uncommon to to see Samantha, an 8th Grader, studying her lines or helping others. In the role of Veruca Salt, Samantha’s character was perfectly portrayed. Sam has already grown so much and has become a leader in the drama program.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION:
• Anna Barlow (ASM)- Anna returned as the Assistant Stage Manager this year. As the “second in command”, Anna oversees that the cast and crew move pieces safely and seamlessly on stage. Even when tensions are high, Anna’s always-calm, courteous, and approachable demeanor makes students feel confident and supported during rehearsals and performances.
• Elizabeth Wright (Student Director)- A Senior, Liz has performed in musicals all through High School. In this performance, Liz left the spotlight for a behind the scenes role as the Student Director. The Cast and Crew look to Liz as a trusted leader who made for a perfect fit on the production team. Liz was able to see the other side of theatre and assisted the cast in character development, blocking, and overall organization.
