Weather: Sunny and cool in the morning reaching temperatures by the afternoon of 70 degrees
General Roofing
- There were six roofers on site today
- The second row of roofing over the main office took place.
- Wet insulation/roofing identified in the roof scan was removed in this location.
- During inspection it was discovered treated lumber was be used for the perimeter edge blocking. This is different then what was originally indicated by General Roofing. galvanized fasteners are currently being used to secure the lumber to the existing blocking.
- General Roofing was instructed that stainless steel fasteners must be used with treated lumber
- Existing metal roofing on front entrance removed to accommodate the new EPDM. Failed fasteners and seams were discovered during the removal
Highland Masonry
- Three masons were on site today
- Sealant installation continued on the Elem lower window units
- The high lift was used to continue sealant removal on the back side of the Jr. High wing upper classrooms.
- Sealant and mortar was installed around the louvers to the 3rd floor penthouse and boiler room.
- Mortar was installed in the failed joints to the boiler room chimney
- Replacement brick for the additional work to the Aud. brick wall was picked. The material is on order and will start within the near future
- Replacement brick for the HS masonry work was identified
- Change order for the additional masonry work over the Supt. office to eliminate the water leaks is being processed

Weather: Cooler morning sunny with temperatures reaching 72 degrees
General Roofing
-Six roofers were on site today
- Supt. indicated that next week man power will be added to the Jr. High wing to increase the roofing
- The final section of roofing over the library started today.
- Wall flashing below the library windows was lifter to expose the old membrane
- ISO, densdeck, and EPDM was added to this location
Highland Masonry
- Four masons were on site today
- Sealant around the louvers to AHU #1 was removed
- Sealant on the windows located to the admin office was completed that was missed in the bid documents
- Work continued on the 2nd floor window sealant joints to the Jr. High wing
- Mortar joints above the teachers lounge that were cracked were removed
- Additional precast window sills have been found that require replacement. The masons are going to keep track of the number of defective sills so when the order is placed these can be poured at the same time

General Roofing
- Seven roofers are on site today
- The most difficult section of roofing around the Elem side condensing unit, two split systems, a chase for the HVAC piping and antennas for the portable radios
- Roofers continued to use galvanized fasteners with the treated lumber. CPL was contacted on the subject. The letter sent to their main office was shared with me regarding the wrong fasteners being used.
- The roofers were informed that the antenna for the bus drivers has to have the cable run through the membrane into the main office
Highland Masonry
- Four masons were on site today
- Work continued on the 2nd floor Jr. High classroom window sealant.
- The masons alerted me to the fact that several bee hives are located along the metal roof above the library
- The front entrance precast was filled with sealant
- The vertical joint over the cafeteria entrance was completed
- The precast joints along the admin windows at the front entrance were completed
- I alerted the masons the vertical joints adjacent to the conference room windows are still open exposing the brick
