Weather:  Sunny, warm with temperatures in the low 70's

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- Work continued on the gym roof

- Seaming the EPDM on the kitchen/cafeteria roof started 

Highland Masonry

- Four masons on site

- Grinding of cracked mortar joints started over the HS science entrance

- Grinding out window sill joints continued on the science wing classroom windows

- Discussion on additional vertical crack discovered on corner of Guidance wing not shown on drawings.  Called Charlie and discussed possibly eliminating the two bollards called out on the base bid in return for the vertical crack repairs on Guidance office brick.  He will visit the district on Wednesday to verify.

- Verified concrete pads outside HS gym exterior doors will be removed tomorrow

Willett Builders

- Three HVAC techs on site

- The refrigerant lines to AHU #2 were evacuated early in the A.M. 

- Jr. High corridor was taped off with plastic to contain dust from students

- Insulation was removed from AHU #2 piping to be removed

- Sweating of pipe to AHU #1 continued

October 24, 2017

Weather:  Cooler temperatures in the low 60's with slight breeze

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- Discovered multiple roof leaks in the Elem.  The front entrance foyer flooded due to roof drain not reconnected after new EPDM installed.  Fire panel card # 10 was destroyed due to water infiltration along with several ceiling tiles in the vicinity.  Water flooded the entrance carpet well and was cleaned up prior to students arrival.

- Roof leaks found in the nurses office restroom, Elem end stairwell, and two locations in the gym along the bleachers.  One leak on each side of the gym.  John (General Roofing) was shown each of the leaks this morning.

- Emergency service call was placed with Simplex/Grinnell regarding the fire panel damage.  Card #10 has to be replaced.

- CPL was notified about the damage, indicated contractors insurance will have to cover the costs of the fire panel and 22 ceiling tiles.

- Last row of EPDM and densdeck was installed on the gym 

- Contractor picked up material that was blown off the roof due to high winds last night.

- CPL visited site to review water damage, fasteners penetrating through the gym ceiling, the two gym roof leaks, nurses office restroom leak, Elem front foyer leak, Elem. skylight leak, and discussion on how EPDM should be terminated along the perimeter edge of the facility.

- Work continued on the damaged masonry joints over the science wing entrance

- Tear out of the concrete pads outside the HS gym started today

- Replacing masonry joints on the 2nd floor walls continued

Willett Builders

- Three HVAC techs on site

- Piping AHU #2 continued

- Music corridor closed off to student access while new piping is installed.

- Sweating in the new pipes in the music corridor continued

October 25, 2017

Weather:  Sunny, cooler temperatures in the low 60's

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- Work started on roof # 7 over the locker rooms.

- Discussion on the area identified on the drawings indicating to replace the roof in the shaded areas.  Contacted CPL who provided direction on leaving existing material and applying new ISO covered with tapered board to create new cricket.

- Discussed the location of the scupper on roof # 7 and installation

- Relayed concerns with the lack of fasteners securing the perimeter edge membrane along the facility.  Wind is pulling membrane off the wood blocking exposing the roof edge to the elements.

- CPL contacted Carlisle roofing on the EPDM along the perimeter edge.  Carlisle contacted General Roofing and provided direction on what needs to be accomplished to correct the existing deficiencies.

- General Roofing scheduled today and tomorrow to complete roof # 7

- Skylights for the project arrived yesterday

- Two electricians on site

- Electricians terminated the electrical connections to the condensing unit for AHU #1.

- The service GFI to rooftop condensing unit was energized.

October 26, 2017

Weather:  Cooler temperatures in the low 50's

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Due to bad weather in forecast contractor will work on detail work only 

- Started installing membrane along Elem. perimeter edge to create weather tight seal, fastened edges to wood blocking

- Started installing membrane along the gym perimeter edge, installed fasteners along wood blocking to secure membrane.

- Started detail work on roof penetrations over the Jr. High wing

- Removed garbage and debris from roof top

- Five masons on site

- Demolition of the HS gym concrete pads continued

- Mortar joint, brick removal continued on the corner of the guidance wing

- Mortar joint restoration continued on the HS front brick wall on the 2nd floor

- Vertical joints and sill joint restoration continued on science wing

Willett Builders

- Two HVAC tech's on site

- Work continued on AHU #2 piping in the music corridor.  Sweating the new copper lines was finished in corridor

- Minor rough in work was started for copper lines directly connecting to AHU #2

October 27, 2017

Weather:  Cooler temperatures in the upper 40's

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Detail work on the gym and Jr. High wing continued.

- EPDM was installed along the perimeter edge of the gym and Elem wing.  All location were secured

- Crew left at lunch time

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Concrete was poured for the two new gym pads

- Work continued on the mortar joints along the science wing and windows
