Weather:  Cooler temperatures in the mid 50's, overcast, and slight breeze

General Roofing

- Seven roofers on site

- Installed the perimeter edge blocking along the auditorium roof

- Stainless steel fasteners were used to secure the edge blocking

- Material and equipment was moved to the cafeteria/kitchen roof

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Worked continued on brick and mortar repair at the HS front entrance

- Vertical joint replacement continued on the 2nd floor walls

- The horizontal mortar joint was started over the music wing

Willett Builders

- Four HVAC techs on site

- Work continued on installing the new coil to AHU #1

- New copper piping from AHU #1 to the roof top condensing unit started.

October 17, 2017

Weather: Freezing temperatures early in the morning, temperatures topped out at 61 degrees by the afternoon

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- EPDM replacement on the kitchen/cafeteria roof started

- Perimeter edge blocking installed around the entire kitchen and cafeteria roof

- Discussion between CPL and district on the type of perimeter edge metal (2 piece or 1 piece) versus what was specified in base bid.  Warranty letter upholding the existing warranty conditions need to be meet before the product may be specified.

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Final change order for the HS music wing brick work was submitted

- Corner wall on HS maintenance wing had damaged brick removed.

- HS front entrance work continues, mortar stains removed from existing cultured stone

- Horizontal mortar joint along music wing was cleaned out in preparation for sealant.

Willet Builders

- Five HVAC techs on site

- Work continued on AHU #1 piping, evaporator installation, and controls to unit

October 18, 2017

Weather:  Cool morning with temperatures rising to low 60's by mid day

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- Work continued on the cafeteria/kitchen roof, they believe they will have the membrane installed today

- No skylight curb work, detail work or seams on the cafeteria/kitchen roof were completed

- Discussed with John that there are several nails and debris spread out all over the new roof that need to be removed as soon as possible. 

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Work continued on replacing brick along the maintenance corridor exterior wall.

- Repairing brick and mortar joints along the science wing started.

- One set of windows on the 2nd floor of the science wing was found not to be ever sealed from the outside.  Contractor will install sealant to protect windows.

- Discussion occurred on the concrete pad replacement outside the HS gym.

Willett Builders

- Two HVAC tech's on site

- Work continued on sweating in the new copper lines to AHU #1 to the condensing unit.

October 19, 2017

Weather:  Warmer temperatures in the mid 60's with sunshine

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- Work started on the gym roof.

- Insulation around the roof drains was completely removed.  New ISO was installed with densdeck and EPDM

- Additional crickets are to be installed to increase the water flow

- Screws securing the ISO deck were to long as they drilled through the gym ceiling acoustical deck

Highland Masonry

- Four masons on site today

- Work continued on the front entrance brick

- Mortar joints along the classrooms to the science wing are in process of restoration

- The 2nd floor mortar joints/brick replacement continue

- Masons agreed to remove both concrete pads outside the gym at the same time

Willett Builders

- Two HVAC tech's on site

- The contractor did not have the plastic required to keep debris and material from spilling into the Jr. High corridor when removing the insulation and piping to AHU #2

- Work continued on the piping for AHU#1 and the condensing unit

October 20, 2017

Weather: Sunny and warmer in the low 70's

General Roofing

- Nine roofers on site

- 2nd row of ISO, densdeck, and EPDM were installed on the gym roof

- Precautions to minimize the ISO fasteners from drilling through the gym ceiling were made.

- Carlisle Roofing responded to the request by the contractor to use Termiedge for the flashing at the Elem.  A two piece material will be used with the exception of the gym roof

- Work continued on the science wing mortar restoration and new sealant around the windows.

Willett Builders

- Three HVAC techs on site today

- The insulation was removed from the piping to AHU #2 in the music corridor

- Sweating in the copper lines for AHU #1 continued
