October 11 - October 17

October 12

- Massa Const. is replacing the two storm drains outside the HS science wing.  The work consists of new storm drains, stone foundation, and the drain lines cabled.

- Wyco Const. was hired to cable the storm drain lines ensuring they are clean.

- Relcomm is on site finishing the phone crossover for the classrooms.  New servers for the IP phones are being installed today.

- 2nd storm drain located adjacent to the HS Guidance office was in disrepair.  Superintendent was contacted on necessary change order for time and material to saw cut the asphalt, install new stone base and run new 6" drain pipe.

October 13

- Massa Const. continued to remove concrete and soil left from the Elem bus loop.

- Work commenced on the bus loop sidewalk stone base due to last weeks compaction test failure.

October 14

- Minimal work occurred due to weather. 

- Second compaction test was set up with SJB on the Elem bus loop stone base.

October 15

- Second compaction test took place on the Elem bus loop stone base.  Both the moisture and compaction were below the project specifications.  

- A third compaction test was set for October 16th.

- Massa Const. brought in a large roller to reach the necessary compaction test for the concrete.

- Massa Const. started tearing out the asphalt behind the HS gym.  Several soft spots in the subgrade were discovered requiring a remediation plan.  A conference call between architect/engineer and myself occurred.  Additional 12" stone in addition to what the base bid includes compacted every 6".  The large roller was utilized to reach proper compaction in this area.  Drain tile will be trenched into the stone base after all stone is installed and compacted.

October 16

- A third compaction test was conducted on the Elem bus loop stone base.  The test passed in all locations.

- Concrete pour date was set for Monday.

- SJB was informed of the 11:00am pour time to perform all cylinder, slump, and air tests.
