Weather: Warm and sunny with temperatures in the mid 70's

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Started replacing membrane around condensing unit #2 over the music rooms.

- New ISO, densdeck, and EPDM were installed in these areas

- Perimeter edge metal samples will be mailed to me to determine what color to install

- Roof drain over room 248 was repaired due to collar slipping apart

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Work continued over the pool windows where the mortar was being forced out by condensation from the pool environment

- Vertical mortar joints were cleaned out along the gym and maintenance shop

Willett Builders

- Contractor was on site to measure out final material list for project, will return tomorrow

October 3, 2017

Weather:  Warmer weather with plenty of sunshine in the mid 70's

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Work continued over the music rooms

- Preparations for the condensing unit replacement were put in place.  The EPDM and curbing to the condensing unit are prepared for October 9th work by the mechanical contractor

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site

- Work continued on the vertical joints along the gym

- Vertical joints along the 2nd floor exterior walls were started.

Willett Builders

- Contractor evacuated the refrigerant from AHU 1 & 2 in preparation for the coil and pipe removal this week.

October 4, 2017

Weather:  Warmer with a breeze temperatures reaching the low 80's

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Work over the last of the Jr. High classrooms started.

- Roofers put a roof screw through the electrical feed to 6 Jr. High classrooms around 1:30pm.  The maintenance staff will troubleshoot the problem first thing tomorrow morning.

- Samples for the perimeter edge metal were received today

Highland Masonry

- Five masons were on site today

- Vertical joints on the music wing were cleaned out

- Scaffolding was set up for the window work over Superintendent's office took place

- Brick arrived for the front entrance repairs to the HS

October 5, 2017

Weather:  Warm temperatures in the low 70's with sunshine

General Roofing

- Five roofers on site

- The last stretch of roofing was installed over the Jr. High classrooms.  The roofers will move to the area located over the nurses and teacher lounge

- The roofers and mechanical contractor met to discuss what work needs to be coordinated for Monday October 9th when the new condensing units are installed.

- Perimeter edge blocking was secured with stainless steel fasteners along the Jr. High playground side.

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site today

- Work started over the Superintendents windows.

- Upon removing the brick veneer over the Supt. windows, discovered there may be another concern then just the flashing.

- Contacted CPL, we agreed to have Highland remove the brick veneer approx. 5' above the windows to expose the steel.

- Vertical joint repair along the music wing continued

Willett Builders

- The coils to AHU 2 were removed with the associated piping located in the penthouse area.

- The piping to AHU 1 was removed

October 6, 2017

Weather:  Cooler in the mid 60's with rain

General Roofing

- Five roofers on site

- With rain, the cleaned the work area of debris. 

- A few roofers walked the grounds to remove anything that fell off the facilities.

- The color for the perimeter edge metal was picked, Sandstone A-06

- Roofers left by 11:00am

Highland Masonry

- Five masons on site today

- Work on removing the damaged brick at the HS front entrance commenced

- A few of the masons left with the rain during the morning

Willett Builders

- The contractor started removing the coil to AHU 1

- Material for their work arrived, stored in the maintenance shop
