- After inspecting the pool operation, the pool heater failed to ignite during Saturday evening.  After reviewing the circulation pump, flow rate, natural gas solenoids, and instrument panel which reflected no alarms, I was required to call in a Lochinvar contractor.

- The service technician finally discovered an original thermostat wire that did not permit the pool heater to ignite since it originally was tied into the old Pool Pak unit.  Since the old Pool Pak was removed, the pool heater thermostat wire was looking for a signal for heat.  The wire was abandoned within the drop ceiling providing a false signal to the pool heater that the pool water was at its set point and no heat was required.  Once the thermostat wire was removed, the heater ignited.  The heater defaulted to a internal thermostat it used with the water circulation pump which is tied into the pool heater.

- The time necessary to heat the water by 10 degrees was estimated at 27 hours.  Calculating  the volume of water by the heaters btu capacity, it would take 3 hours to raise 200,000 gallons 1 degree.

Weather: Cool temperatures in the mid 60's

-Siemens on site updating controls and digital points within the energy management system.  the thermostat is not reflecting actual temperatures.

Weather: Hard rain in the morning tapering off to a slow drizzle throughout the remainder of the day.  Temperatures in the low 60's with overcast

- No contractors on site

- The hard wind driven rain in the morning produced a leak around the pool unit adjacent to the return air duct.  As the rain slowed during the afternoon hours the leak stopped.

- A call was placed with Action Roofing and Cogenic regarding the leak.  Action Roofing has not completed their flashing around the pool unit which may have the purpose of the leak.  After reviewing the unit during the hard rain, a few locations on the pool unit appeared to be collecting water.

- Later in the afternoon when the rain slowed, the pool unit was inspected for potential areas that may permit the water to infiltrate.  There is no evidence the unit permitted water during the hard rain.

- A call was placed with Cogenic concerning the space temperature of the pool area.  Keith contacted Siemens so the controls could be modified accordingly.

Weather: Warmer temperatures in the low 70's with sunshine

- Siemens was on site to replace a defective outside air device that monitored the filters to the pool unit.  A continual fault appeared even though the filters integrity was not jeopardized.

- The controls contractor modified the return air programming since the temperature was elevated permitting the room space to peak to uncomfortable levels.

- The maintenance staff attempted to troubleshoot the recently installed monitoring devices within the pool area that may be directly related to the faulty readings.  Cogenic or Siemens has yet to label the devices.  Without knowing which device controls what, we did not want to damage a component by mistake.  Cogenic was called regarding this problem.

- The chlorinator for the pool water has mechanical problems.  Mike Blackmon is not comfortable with addressing the needs of the unit.  Erik Palesh who has been out all week plans on returning on Tuesday.  The chlorine levels in the pool are what they should be at this point.

Weather: Sunshine with temperatures in the low 70's

- Cogenic's punchlist walk-thru was conducted today.  I provided M/E Engineering a list of concerns that I found prior to our walk thru.  The punchlist is attached under the "Files" tab.

- Cogenic agreed to have personnel on site on Tuesday to address the punchlist items.
