Weather:  Cool morning warming up to the mid 40's

General Roofing

- Four roofers on site

- Detail work along the Elem roof penetrations continued.

- Last sky light over the Elem stairwell was installed and detailed.

- Additional strip of EPDM installed along the east side of the Elem. roof line perimeter edge

- Contractor believes the base bid work will be completed by December 8th

- Contractor plans to cut off screws in Elem gym ceiling on Nov. 30th due to kids having a half a day. School manlift will be used to cut the screws off gym ceiling

- Punchlist is set for December 6th

- Cost for the grass seed credit was sent to CPL.

Highland Masonry

- Three masons on site

- Worked 2nd shift to remove the remaining window sills at the Elem.  

- Completed the final installation of the HS strobe and speaker outside the Supt. office

- Punchlist is set for Dec. 6th

- Contractor feels confident that their work will be completed Dec. 8th

- Switched out five Elem sills from Jr. High wing to the Elem 1 st floor due to extensive damage to the existing sills.

- Two sills were left over and were installed in two classrooms in the Jr. High wing that were severely deteriorated.

- Library sills called out to be replaced.  There is no damage to the sills.  The mortar joint will be repointed in lieu of replacement.

Willett Builders

- Contractor on site

- Contractor requested if the base bid could be finalized with the exception of the condensing unit start up and control work to the units.  CPL will look into as a possibility.

November 28, 2017

Weather:  Cool morning warming up to the high 50's by mid afternoon

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- The curb to the Aud. fire hatch is installed.

- Brock Anderson (Carlisle) arrived on site to walk the roof.  Concerns with the one piece thru wall flashing over the locker room were discussed.  He will contact CPL on the subject to find resolution.

- Condensing unit #2 threaded rod sealant was discussed with Brock.  Flashing and sealant installation was discussed with the contractor.  Brock will also discuss this with CPL today.

- Flashing along the gym wall is installed

Highland Masonry

- 3 masons on site

- Work continued on the precast on the Elem classrooms

- Discussion on what precast is scheduled to be patched (detail G2) occurred.

- Manlifts used behind the Elem. are damaging the yard.  Highland will be required to repair the turf were their equipment operated.

Weather:  Cool temperatures in the low 40's and windy

General Roofing

- Six roofers on site

- Skylight over the auditorium was removed and new roofing system installed

- Preliminary punchlist created and shared with CPL.  They in turn emailed the list to General Roofing so they were aware of what remaining work is left on base bid.

- Detail work on the auditorium roof continued

- Scuppers for base bid work are on order and should arrive next week

Highland Masonry

- Two masons on site

- Sealant was installed on the remaining Elem precast lintels

- Several punch list items I discovered during my walk through were shared with the contractor considering this was their last day on site.  Missing sealant on several 2nd floor windows were completed prior to their departure.

- Material was consolidated and work site cleaned

Weather: Cooler temperatures, overcast, rain in the late afternoon

General Roofing

- 6 roofers on site

- The curb flashing and membrane around condensing unit #2 was completed

- Stainless steel anchors along the Elem perimeter edge installed into the wood blocking

- Part of the 1-piece metal over the locker room roof was reinstalled.

- Roof drains over the Elem with seams in close proximity to the drain were patched so new seams are located at the top of the catch basin

- Densdeck anchors located on the underside of the gym roof were removed.  Each location was touched up with paint

- Antenna cable was rerouted through the membrane and reinstalled in the main office

Highland Masonry

- Contractor not on site

- Pictures of new precast and sealant were taken and sent to CPL.  The sealant joints range between 1" to 1-1/4" in width.  CPL indicated the joint should be 3/8" per the shop drawings Highland submitted and were approved.  Each sill appears to be short in width for the existing window opening creating such a large sealant gap.

- CPL attempted to reach out to Highland but no response to our concerns was addressed.  The preliminary decision is to extend Highland's contract out to the spring so the necessary repairs ( replacement sills) could be installed.

Weather: Cool temperatures in the mid 40's with a slight breeze

General Roofing

- 6 roofers on site

- 90% of the copper flashing under the library windows was installed

- New punchlist date is December 11th

- Water damaged skylight in the Elem. stairwell was repaired.  Final work will take place next week

- Curb detail work around condensing unit #1 was completed

- Parapet flashing along the Elem wing was completed

- 12" membrane was installed on intersecting seam joints on Elem roof

- Walk pads were installed along the perimeter of the overhead metal roof to the library

- Walk pads to the locker room roof installed
