June 10, 2013
Weather: Overcast skies from 5:00 - 8:30am. Temperatures from 65 degrees eventually reaching 75 degrees in the afternoon. Light rain started around 9:00am continuing intermittently throughout the day.
- Delivery of ISO board, EPDM, and perimeter edge wood blocking was delivered to the district (see pictures under "Related Files" tab under the month of June) occurred from 5:00am - 8:00am
- MSDS binder was submitted for all roofing products used on HS roofing project.
- Action Roofing insurance carrier still working to finalize verbiage in the Certificate of Insurance for Harts Insurance.
- Action Roofing started removing the perimeter edge flashing along the front entrance of the HS.
- Action Roofing investigated the existing perimeter edge blocking in preparation for their work.
- Representatives from Cogenic and Kistler LLC visited site today to review the existing roofing conditions, structural steel, and mechanical work entailed in their contract.

No work due to rain
-Submittal was approved for perimeter edge flashing color. Firestone "Dark Bronze" is the color agreed upon which will match existing flashing along the HS
- Submittal was approved for the Firestone 2-piece counterflashing
- submittal was approved for the replacement brick to be utilized in replacing the defective blocks identified within the scope. Belden is the manufacturer, product "470-479 med" is the style brick approved.
- Submittal approved for flashing. York is the manufacturer, product "Cop-R-Tex Duplex" is the style of flashing to be used.

Weather: Sunshine and slight breeze with temperatures reaching 78 degrees.

- Remainder of the perimeter edge flashing on the HS front entrance was removed.
- Perimeter edge wood blocking was installed over the library roof.
- Old ISO board was removed and disposed of over the library roof.
- Two (2) layers of new ISO board, densdeck and two (2) rows of new .090 mil. EPDM was installed over library roof.
- AHU were shut down towards the end of the day due to the EPDM adhesive used which released noticeable VOC's.
- Action Roofing will contact me in the future when adhesive will be applied to ensure the AHU's are shut down to avoid a repeat occurrence with VOC's entering the facility.

Weather: Cool morning, overcast with slight breeze, temperatures in the mid 50's. Afternoon warming up to lower 60's with an increased chance of rain around 4:00pm.
-Roof work commenced on the library section. Pictures of the gypsum roof deck were added to the "Related Files" power point.
- Discussion occurred with the perimeter edge wood blocking in reference to FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheet 1-49. Email was sent to the architect to investigate the anchoring requirements for Action Roofing so we do not jeopardize the 110 mph warranty.
- Email sent to Clark-Patterson-Lee regarding missing certificate from the manufacturer confirming the sealant used is compatible with our project so we obtain the 20-year warranty as listed in the specifications.
- Email sent to Clark-Patterson-Lee regarding the approved termination bar submittal.
- Email sent to Clark-Patterson-Lee regarding missing documentation on the approved sample roof warranty submitted.
- Email sent to the architect on missing dimensions on approved submittal for the roofing fascia system.
- Contacted Mike Post (Town of Perry) regarding the start date of the HS retaining wall. July 8th is the tentative date Mike provided. The Town of Castile requested to keep all soil removed from the retaining wall work. They have several locations along the lake that could utilize fill. Mike also agreed that removing the entire retaining wall level with the concrete wash basin is the best course of action.

Weather: Sunny, clear skies, temperature in the mid 60's during the A.M.
- Action Roofing finished installing the last of the ISO board, EPDM, and trimmed the remainder of the flashing for roof penetrations over the library roof.
- Recommendation to remove the horizontal wood blocking along the face of the brick wall was submitted to Clark-Patterson-Lee by Action Roofing. The existing wood blocking is secured with nails leaving large gaps between the wood blocking and the brick wall. A concern with wind infiltration between the blocking and the brick was the primary reason to consider removing the existing wood. Action Roofing is hoping to have clarification by the next coordination meeting this week.
- Everything on the library roof is complete with the exception of the perimeter edge flashing.
- Masons are expected to arrive on site June 17th to start their work.
- The roofers will move onto the lower roof at the front entrance of the HS starting at the main office moving toward the music rooms.
