-Roofers were not on site today due to another commitment in Buffalo.  They do plan on returning to Perry tomorrow.

- Pictures taken of progress along the library roof, see "Related Files" for photos.

Weather: Sunny, warm, with temperatures in the mid 70's

- Mason's moved their scaffolding to the corner adjacent to the district office.  The predict an estimated 60 + brick need to be removed and replaced in this vicinity due to deterioration.  The vertical expansion joint will be replaced alongside the defective brick.

- Roofers continued removing the existing ISO board.  Contractor pointed out the water damage to the existing ISO board due to past roof leaks.  The water infiltration was higher up the roof than originally anticipated due as indicated in the water damaged ISO board (see pictures)

Weather: Sunny, warm, with temperatures reaching the lower 80's

- Mason's continue work on the corner brick wall adjacent to the district office.  Several mortar joints are in the process of being cut out and repointed due to severe deterioration.

- Mason's started cutting out the brick and mortar joints to the window cutouts to the pool.  The brick in this location has deteriorated and the face of several brick has spalled jeopardizing the integrity of the wall.

- Roofers continue their work along the front entrance roof.  The third row of EPDM was installed and preparations were made for finalizing the last row of roofing.

-Contractors were instructed to clean their work sites of all debris, tools or miscellaneous material prior to leaving due to the building uses occurring the remainder of the week.

June 21, 2013

Weather: Sunny, hot with temperatures reaching into the upper 80's low 90's

- Mason's finalizing the brick work along the corner wall adjacent to the district office.

- Capital project status meeting occurred at 10:00am in the district office conference room.

- Discussion's occurred with the different roof drain details in the bid drawings and what was submitted and approved on the Firestone detail.  Dean frentz (Clark-Patterson-Lee) will send a memo out to the contractor and district confirming that the Firestone detail is what the contractor must follow instead of the bid drawings.

- Dean Frentz will provide clarification on what type of flashing will be installed on underside of the brick wall to the 2-story wing over the library.  Considering the construction in this location, following Firestone's detail will be difficult.

- Discussion on removing the 2x pressure treated lumber along the fascia throughout the project was discussed.  Action roofing recommends removing the material and installing the fascia flashing along the face of the vertical wall to eliminate any potential wind uplift in the future.  Dean Frentz will provide a written directive to follow this recommendation.  The finished product will resemble detail 14/A800.

- The change order related to the corrugated deck over the maintenance department wing was signed by Action roofing during the meeting.  This subject will be discussed at the next board meeting on June 25th.

- SED approved the districts recommendation to perform the pool maintenance listed on William Watson's quote.  SED will provide state aid for this work if the BOE approves the change order. If approved, this work will take place while the pool is shut down later this summer.

- Discussion on modifying the existing drain over the pool locker room to eliminate the water accumulation in this location.  A drain pan estimated to be 32' in diameter is recommended by Action roofing.  Mike will provide the shop drawing to Clark-Patterson-Lee for review and approval.  If approved, this will eliminate the new roof drain originally called out in the bid documents.

- Mike will install anchors through the new perimeter edge wood blocking into the existing wall to comply with FM 1-49.

- The roofers finalized the last row of EPDM on the front entrance roof.  The roof drain basins are approximately 10' in diameter which reduces the potential of water sitting on the roof.
