Capital Project coordination meeting occurred with all contractors.  Discussing included the following;

Bethany Elect.

- Upgrading the corridor cameras to 2.0MP in lieu of implementing the encoders within the base bid.  The change order was approved at the coordination meeting.

-The installation of electric to the pool blanket will start this week.

- Craig will contact Todd Huffer regarding the status of the Wi-Fi component installation.

- Craig asked Bethany if there were concerns regarding the specified HS auditorium speakers or sound equipment.  A comment was made in the past that the vendor did not feel what was specified for the auditorium would completely cover the room.  Bruce will look into the issue.

- The overhead projector in the HS auditorium needs to be ordered.  Bethany inquired if the new unit will be equipped with an IP address or have wireless capabilities.  The district will look into the status of the projector.

Kircher Const.

- Requested fire alarm system be placed in test mode for the entire week since HS 2nd floor insulation is occurring.

- Acrovyn panels will be installed in the Elm. gym next Monday.  Craig will review building use schedule to ensure all groups are contacted regarding the gym shut down.

- Craig will supply map of HS terrazzo repairs to Wayne so pricing can be provided.

- Alta Enterprise does not want to supply engineer stamped drawings for elongated brackets for pool cover proposed by Kircher.  Wayne will press the issue one more time.

- Pool cover controller will stay in coaches office as indicated on prints.  Craig requested that Kircher contact Alta Enterprise so they are aware of the controller location.  Bethany Elect. indicated they will wire the controller in the coaches office.

- HS 2nd floor insulation will be complete by Monday of next week.

Masonry contractor plans on starting later this week for overhead windows and vertical wall joints.

Danforth

- A quote for the two damaged coils in Mancari's classroom will be issued this week.

- Received Kircher's pay application.  Reviewed the drawings and work completed to date and signed off on the document.

- Sent Kircher a color coded drawing of HS terrazzo issues.  A total of 23 locations require repair in the corridor.  Kircher plans to provide a quote within the week.

- A change order from Bethany to upgrade the district card access system was approved today.  The documentation was sent to CPL to start the change order.  The head end equipment is already included in the camera upgrades.  Incorporating the card access with the camera system will integrate surveillance within the district facilities and grounds.

- Bethany continued cabling within the corridors for HS cameras.

- The change order to include the HS 2nd floor Earth Science room into the insulation scope was approved today.  The necessary documentation was sent to CPL to expedite the change order process since the insulator is on site.

- Approximately 5 more rooms on the HS 2nd floor were insulated today.

- Email was sent to CPL and Kircher regarding the necessity of submitting engineered drawings for the pool cover brackets.  This topic is holding up the approval process for the pool cover.

- Inspecting the proper depth of the HS 2nd floor insulation will start tonight once their work is completed for the day.  The drawings call for a minimum of 4" (R15) added to the underside of the roof line.

- Edutech has requested a meeting next week to discuss the installation schedule for the new Wi-Fi components.  This change over will require a shut down across the district.

August 1, 2014

- The HS insulation project is tentatively scheduled to be completed today.  The thermal barrier will be applied next week that is anticipated to take 2 days.

- Further inspection of the HS 2nd floor insulation has confirmed the proper depth of 4" at multiple locations throughout the classroom and corridor.  The contractors are cleaning their mess as they progress.

- Kircher provided a quote for the HS corridor terrazzo repairs.  The pricing averaged out to $542.50 per location totaling $9,800.00 . I recommended not to perform this work due to the cost involved.

- Two test cylinders taken by the testing firm prior to the last three piers were poured were opened as scheduled for the 28 day break.  Both cylinders returned a 3660 & 3690 psi strength test.  The structural engineer is not concerned with these results considering ASTM permits 10% variance on the slated 4000 psi goal.  There is one remaining cylinder to test at the 56 day mark.
