July 13 - July 19
July 14, 2014
Coordination meeting occurred today between all contractors, architect, engineer, and district personnel.
- Major topics discussed were the status of Schedule of Values, Certificate of Insurance, material, and construction schedule.
- Kircher Const. was handed the color and texture pattern of acrovyn panels for Elem gym.
- Kircher Const. plans on having insulator on site the middle of next week to start HS 2nd floor.
- The remaining submittals should be delivered to CPL by the end of next week.
- Side bar meeting occurred after coordination meeting to discuss the details of pool cover. Kircher did not include in their bid a stainless steel shroud over the lights as indicated on prints. They now propose to install brackets keeping the cover approx. 30" - 36" away from wall. A engineering print from Alta Enterprise is necessary indicating the connection points. I raised concerns of continual use causing the brackets to loosen considering the distance from the wall.
- Wayne Swede requested the pool heater room be cleaned out so accurate measurements can be obtained for the mechanical pads to be installed in this space.
- Bethany Tech. is on site, plan to have additional manpower next week.
- Requested Bethany Tech. to review the RFP for card access
- M/E Engineering will review the comments I issued concerning the credit Bethany Tech. proposed for the camera encoder installation versus new IP cameras.
- CPL will provide estimated cost for missing 2nd floor HS classroom not included in the insulation base bid
- Pool cover will be submitted to CPL next week
- HS front doors will be installed in 1-day to avoid any security concerns from unauthorized users.
- Danforth will submit RFI for kitchen stacks. There is a heat transfer safety concern with the end user
- Schedule of Values will be resubmitted to CPL for approval
- Danforth will focus on the kitchen work at the HS first. Next week the Elem nurses office will be completed so the cleaning staff can complete their room.
July 15, 2014
- Danforth cut existing HS kitchen shelf to accommodate new NG water heater. Plans to grind the counter legs smooth so the maintenance staff can paint the frame prior to the heater installation.
- CME reports as well as CPL review of the athletic complex press box pier were received today. The 7 day cylinder was opened with a 3400 psi. CPL report indicated the rebar and concrete pour were approved by structural engineer.
- D&H Excavation removed all supports utilized to hold press box in place during the pier remediation.
July 16, 2014
- Danforth removed the old HS kitchen booster heater in kitchen. New unit was inserted under counter top. Shelf to dishwasher rack was removed due to size of booster heater.
- Discussion on booster heater venting options was discussed with contractor. Installation instructions indicate it can be tied into the existing exhaust fan for dishwasher. RFI should be written to determine proper installation.
- Bethany arrived on site. Master keys for interior doors were provided for Wi-Fi installation. Contractor agreed to start wiring the 1st floor science wing in HS first. Discussion on the WAP device installation by maintenance staff in relation to their wiring into specific rooms.
- Bethany will provide patch cords for WAP to junction boxes.
- Confirmed CME and D&H Excavation has purchase order for pier remediation. Awaiting their invoices to closeout the change order.
July17, 2014
- Bethany Tech. expressed concerns of manpower considering the union hall is empty. They plan on finishing their work with Dansville CSD in order to divert manpower to Perry CSD.
- Several submittals were approved by M/E Engineering for Kircher, Danforth, and Bethany Tech.
- Danforth continued their work in the HS kitchen with the new dishwasher booster heater. The 3/4" gas lines were completed this afternoon.
July 18, 2014
- Kircher Const. requested a answer to the insulation submittal for the HS 2nd floor due to scheduling. I made a call with CPL to find out the status. They are currently in the process of reviewing the submittal this morning.
Update: The insulation submittal was approved as note. Kircher Const. postponed the start date considering the approval came in at approximately 3:00pm. The new start date is now July 28th.
- Additional submittals were approved for all three contractors.
-Interior master keys were cut and issued to Bethany Elect. so their work within the classrooms receiving Wi-Fi can occur.
