Weather: Partly cloudy with sunshine temperatures ranging from 60 - 79 degrees

Highland Masonry

- Four contractors arrived at 7:20am.  A lay down area for their supplies was provided within the Elem maintenance shop.  We discussed keeping track of the number employees from their firm daily.

- Supplies (backer rod & caulk) were brought to the lower roof.  Work on the vertical joints above the teachers lounge began.

- Highland anticipates additional manpower will be available be the end of the week considering the U of R project should be finished by then.

Weather: Sunny with temperatures in the upper 70's, slight breeze

Highland Masonry

- Two mason's were on site all day at the Elem.  Vertical joints along the auditorium exterior wall and main foyer were raked out.  Sealant was installed in the same joints.  Discussion regarding the scope listed in the drawings do not reflect actual conditions.  A memo was sent to CPL requesting clarification on the drawings and notes related to the scope.

General Roofing

- Crew of 8 employees were on site to unload flat bed trucks all containing ISO, adhesive and EPDM.  A crane was employed to place the material on the roof throughout the facility.  Safety fencing was installed on the upper roof in preparation for their work.  Delivers for the dens deck will arrive tomorrow.  Work commenced throughout the day until approximately 3:30pm.

Weather: Sunny for the most part, overcast later in the afternoon.  Temperatures reached 80 degrees by mid afternoon.

Highland Masonry

- Two masons were on site at the Elem. today continuing to rack out the mortar and sealant joints to the main foyer and auditorium wall.  Sealant was installed on the main foyer windows facing the west.  Also, the vertical joints adjacent to the double roof top door were also completed.

General Roofing

- Crew of eight unloaded the densdeck for the project.  Nine flat beds arrived which were unloaded and placed on the roof in their respective locations.  Each pallet of densdeck weighs in at 1-ton each.  The roofers continued with their work until 4pm by unloading adhesive and misc. materials for the project.

Weather: Sunny, muggy, with temperatures reaching the low 80's

Highland Masonry

- Two masons were on site at the Elem. today continuing to rack out the mortar and sealant joints to the gymnasium upper wall above locker rooms onto the storage room.  Sealant was installed on the lower storage room walls adjacent to the dumpster enclosure.  

- Email regarding concerns with the drawings notes was sent to CPL.  Conflicting scope items require clarification.

- Discussion will need to occur regarding the sealant color for the vertical precast.  Submittals are for only gray at this point.

General Roofing

- No work today

Weather: Muggy and sunny with temperatures in the low 80's

Highland Masonry

- Two masons were on site at the Elem.  Their work continued around the west side of the building along the east side of the gym wall and faculty entrance.  Additional joints cleaned out are along the kitchen entrance.

- Memo from CPL returned in regards to the conflicting scope items in the drawings.  Sealant will be used instead of mortar.  Two locations not originally identified in the drawings to receive new sealant are now included. 

- The new notes and details will be covered under Addendum #2.

General Roofing

- No work today

- CPL provided access to their shared site today permitting me to see the submittals, bid drawings, RFI's and progress of the capital project through the review process.
