- Action Roofing was able to complete the two rows before leaving for the day.
August 16, 2013
Weather: Sunny, warm with temperatures in the upper 70's
- Action Roofing completed the final row of EPDm over the guidance office. New EPDM was placed along the vertical wall which will terminate under the new perimeter edge metal to the cafeteria roof.
- The vertical brick wall to the kitchen adjacent to the guidance office roof also received EPDM over the entire surface. The new EPDM will be terminated under the new perimeter edge metal which will provide a dry lock roof with minimal seams eliminating the potential of water infiltration into the building.
- The roof penetrations over the guidance office and cafeteria were worked on later in the afternoon. Rubber boots were installed around the galvanized posts to the 2nd floor stairwell which were filled to create a water sealed penetration. This same action was completed on all refrigerant lines that penetrated the kitchen portion of the roof.

- Action Roofing removed the ballast to the roof over the maintenance wing. Individuals were required to shovel the rock into wheel barrows and dump over the edge of the building into a dump truck.
- The rock was kept on the district grounds for future use. One load was placed in on the perimeter of the HS parking lot were years of erosion were jeopardizing the parking lots integrity. The maintenance staff will place the stone in the proper location on August 19th.
- The remaining three loads of rock removed from the roof are currently being stored in the gravel lot adjacent to the softball field.
- The perimeter edge metal was removed, new wood blocking installed, and safety protection along the roofs edge was installed today.
